Going home to places you've never been I opened up my doors to let you in I saw you and felt excited but in the end I was distracted I faded away form you to look at someone new You Fall in love with ideas held in heart You might just see your life fall apart you have someone close turn into a ghost This is what you'll miss the most I feel myself turn inside out When water well you never let me drown I see rainbows are fading in this new world I am creating You were my pot of gold The one thing I don't have anymore You Fall in love with ideas held in heart You might just see your life fall apart you have someone close turn into a ghost This is what you'll miss the most If I could see through your eyes Little things I looked over On the day that you were gone I was looking back I was looking back forever You Fall in love with ideas held in heart You might just see your life fall apart you have someone close turn into a ghost This is what you get when you fall in love Before you go breaking your heart Don't let your life fall apart Take the ones you love and hold them close This is what you'll miss the most

I. The Gates Lights seep into my dreams I see the world fall beneath me I’m going to a place I’ve never been before Above the clouds I’m floating And now the sky is glowing Approaching golden gates I’m knocking at the door Standing before the glowing light I can’t believe the face I see A familiar spirit speaks From the other side His words echo deep within me Songs that I could never hear him sing His presence is the voice That’s knocking at my door Questions flying through the sky Asking do I live or die But either way I’m left behind His spirit stares into my heart But it’s love that’s tearing me apart Who do I leave behind When I close the door II. Losing you Driving down a long road Blinded by falling snow We take a turn Where I didn’t want to go Direct hit from the side For a second I am blind I wake up to find Her body’s getting cold Looking into her eyes I say one last goodbye Leaning back into A sleep without an end My soul freezes inside me Why did I just see Another tragic goodbye Her spirit’s taking flight III. Losing Myself See the storm pass through the sky As cars crash in blinding white Knocked into a panic In the middle of the night Broken bones but beating hearts Except for one that got hit too hard Knocked into a slumber Where my soul departs Souls float on in sinking hearts Pain will drown us as currents drift apart Storms will pass as you grow older I’m just glad that your story isn’t over Don’t miss me when I’m gone ‘cause I want you to stay I’ll be with you forever When I’m carried away I see you live your life And I’ll be alright Floating on a cloud While you stare at the stars at night Darkness blinds the eyes that see A world that turns without me Candles burn and emotions turn To sadness no one should live through Holding hands and beating hearts We realize we are all parts Of each other so keep holding on To gifts life gives you Souls float on in sinking hearts Pain will drown us as currents drift apart Storms will pass as you grow older I’m just glad that your story isn’t over Don’t miss me when I’m gone Because I want you to stay I’ll be with you forever When I’m carried away I see you live your life And I’ll be alright Floating on a cloud While you stare at the stars at night IV. Coming Home Staring into the glowing light I have made up my mind I see the spirit stare Into my soul I tell him that I’ll come home soon I swear that I’ll remember you And when I return I’ll knock on your door

Hope 04:11
As we prepare to say our last goodbyes Monsoons form and fall from the sky We flood our hearts when souls sail away But hands to hold are here to stay Beyond our minds, within our hearts We realize we’re never far apart From wherever we came from It’s what we can’t see It transcends all of our beliefs One small spec in the universe One giant leap for us to observe The earth is just a spec in time Blink your eye and new stars shine We will spin and we will turn And with each other we will learn… Beyond our minds, within our hearts We realize we’re never far apart From wherever we came from It’s what we can’t see It transcends all of our beliefs One small spec in the universe One giant leap for us to observe We exist on this earth for mere seconds in comparison to the length of time our planet has been spinning. Each star in the universe has burned longer than human history, each planet in our solar system spins faster than the daily chaos that we surround ourselves with. We fail to realize how small we are in comparison to the universe, and that leads to a failure in coming together to help each other. We obsess over our own ideas about politics, materials, and careers. We put each other through hell because of the Gods we believe in. But we need to understand that our limited time of existence should be used to love, it should be used to heal, it should be used to appreciate all we are given, because you never really understand what you have until it’s gone. We will all go through times of suffering, where we believe that the world has turned against us, where we wake up fearing our own heartbeat, and fearing for the lives of others. Learning to love each other is essential to our survival. We need to take the hands of the people we are told to shy away from, because collectively, we can create hope.
